About me

I completed my PhD in Finance at the University of Alabama in 2021 and I am currently an Assistant Professor of Finance at Texas A&M International University. I am passionate about teaching and conducting research in finance. I have taught courses in PhD Seminar in Financial Markets and Institutions, Commercial Banking Management, Financial Management (MBA), Managerial Economics, Risk Management, Business Finance, Financial Markets and Institutions, and Money and Capital Market. I am enthusiastic about working with students, and I strive to instill a passion for lifelong learning in my students, as I share my own passion for learning with them. My research interests are institutional investors, gender diversity of corporate board, ESG, shareholder activism, CEO turnover, REITs, working capital management, and religiosity. Aside from my academic life, I have three kids, Grace, Lucas, and Aurora, who keep me busy. I also enjoy travelling and hiking.
